Toronto Women's International Dragon Boat Festival

Toronto Women's International Dragon Boat Festival

Every year True North Senior Women are proud to host the only all-women's dragon boat festival east of the Rockies. Last year at our 18th annual event we welcomed 20 women's teams and around 500 paddlers and their supporters, from across the province and the US, to Heart Lake Conservation Park in Brampton, Ontario. Teams range from recreational to high performance, including several breast cancer survivor teams. As one of the first of on the calendar, The TORONTO WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL is a fantastic and fun way to kick off your racing season!!

2026 Festival

The race program includes 200m knock-out, 500m, and 2000m races, with medals awarded to the top 3 crews in each division. The TWIDBF is a qualifier for the Canadian National Championships.

The Toronto Women's regatta not only helps promote the sport of dragon boating among women paddlers of all ages but is also the primary fundraiser for our team. Regatta fundraising features food and beverage sales, Mystery Bag sales, and a silent auction.

Every year we look forward to our regatta to ignite interest in our sport while helping to offset some of the costs of training and competing nationally and internationally.

Details for the 2026 TWIDBF available here or by contacting Nicole Rolfe at towomens.dragonboatfestival@gmail.com for more information
